Banjo cloth has long been recognized as the industry standard for convention drapes because of its low cost and inherently flame resistant characteristics. Most Convention Centers and Commercial Decorators use this fabric for most of their decorating needs but we don't recommend it for wedding backdrops. Sheer Voile, Organza, Velour, Satin or Poly Premier would be a better choice for weddings. We offer our banjo drapes in a large variety of flame retardant sizes and colors.
Banjo drape is a medium-weight fabric with an uneven thread pattern to it and a light sheen or shimmer at certain points where the threads are thickest. You can get a better idea of this by clicking on the color swatch card below to bring up the larger image.
Banjo is cut from bolts that are approximately 48" wide. There is a 4in pocket sewn at the top and bottom for extended life and quick set up.
For Booth or Back wall designs we recommend using approx. 4 panels per 10ft section depending on how gathered you want your drape to look.
Washing Instructions - Wash in a normal washer on delicate cycle, cold water, with a light detergent like Woolite or Ivory Snow. Tumble dry w/ air-only setting. No heat.
